Life is Funny

A wonderful and dear friend lost her mom this past weekend and the services were this morning.  I felt so badly because Ann Marie had just arranged for her mom to live with her and it had only been a short time.  Her mom was 86 and looked like she was about 73 years old. Not a wrinkle, she looked beautiful.Another member of our “Goal Girls Club”, Donna, met me in line as we proceeded to move our way up…

I Smell Cut Grass

As I drove home last night, I saw a familiar site: driveways filled with landscaper trucks, trailers and equipment.  That means that spring is finally here, although today you would not know it, it's hovering in the low ‘40s.So it got me thinking about spring and I thought I would do something different. Not to be negative but how about the Top 10 list of things not so good about spring:Number 10:  Bees.  I absolutely HATE bees and a run around…

(I have never loved NYC in the rain). The bus ride down reminded me of the days when I was a student, all excited for the trip ahead: sitting with friends, bringing snacks, listening to a Jackson Browne tape on my SONY Walkman.  We did not have…

Because That’s How We Roll

I had the most wonderful time on Saturday night with old friends, new friends and some martini acquaintances. I have been friends with Michele since we were 7 years old.  I love her like my sister. (Except for that one time with regards to crowning Mary, but you will hear more about that later on.) We went to dinner in Amsterdam at Parillo’s Armory Grill and it was unbelievable; best Ala Vodka sauce I have had in years.  Jackie and her…
